Edmond Alphandéry is the founder and Chairman of the Euro50 Group which gathers leading European personalities concerned with the monetary policy of the European Central Bank since the creation of the euro. In 2019, he launched the "Task Force on Carbon Pricing in Europe", a group of personalities coming from various countries of the European Union to promote carbon pricing in Europe to fight climate change.

Edmond Alphandéry is a Member of the Advisory Committee of Quadrille Capital, a Member of the Advisory Board of Montrose, and Vice President of the Club of Three. From 1993 to 1995 he worked as a Minister of the Economy of France. From 1998 to 2012, he served as Chairman of CNP Assurances, and prior to this appointment, he was Chairman of Electricité de France (EDF). From 2010 to May 2019, he was a Board member of ENGIE and the President of its Strategic Committee.

Edmond Alphandéry graduated from Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris, and after studying at the University of Chicago and the University of California, Berkeley, he obtained his French Ph.D. in Economics and his "Agrégation" in Political Economy. He is the author of numerous articles and books devoted to economic and monetary affairs.

Mr. Luiz AWAZU PEREIRA DA SILVA has been Deputy General Manager at the Bank for International Settlements from 1 October 2015 till 31 August 2023. Before joining the BIS, Mr. Awazu Pereira da Silva, a Brazilian national, had been Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Brazil since 2010. Prior to that, he worked in various positions for the World Bank in Washington DC, Tokyo and southern Africa. He also served as Chief Economist for the Brazilian Ministry of Budget and Planning, and as Brazil's Deputy Finance Minister in charge of international affairs.

Mr. Awazu Pereira da Silva holds a doctorate in economics and MPhil from Panthéon-Sorbonne University, and graduated from the École des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC) Paris and the Institut d'Études Politiques (Sciences Po) in Paris.

Cécile Bartenieff is appointed CEO for Societe Generale Asia Pacific in January 2022.

Cécile Bartenieff joined Societe Generale Corporate and Investment Banking in 2000. She held various managerial positions within the Finance and Operations Departments before joining the COO office of Global Markets. In 2014, Cécile Bartenieff was nominated Head of Operations of Global Banking & Investor Solutions. She was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Global Banking & Investor Solutions on 1st June 2017.

Cécile Bartenieff began her career in 1990 at Accenture's consulting division before joining BRED Banque Populaire in 1995 where she worked successively as an Arbitrage trader and then in sales for large Corporates.

Cécile Bartenieff holds a master's degree in Business Administration from the ESSEC Business School.

Dr. Bie Tao currently is the Chief Legal Advisor of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE) of the People's Republic of China, and the Vice President of Chinese Society of Environmental and Resources Law. Previously, he served as Director of the Department of Policy and Law of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, and Director of the Department of Laws, Regulations, and Standards of the MEE.

Dr. Bie was involved in the development and revision of major environmental laws, such as the Environmental Protection Law, significant environmental administrative regulations, including the Regulations on the Administration of Sewage Discharge Permits and the Regulations on the Administration of Environmental Protection for Construction Projects, as well as significant environmental departmental regulations, such as the Management Methods for Carbon Emission Trading (for Trial Implementation).

He also participated with other departments in the design and implementation of environmental and economic policies, such as green credit, green insurance, and green tax.

Dr. Bie has published extensively on a number of journals, e.g. China Legal Science, Law Review and China Environment News. He has presided over the editing of several books, including The Complete Book of China's Environmental Protection Laws and Regulations, Anthology of International Environmental Treaties, and Compilation of Laws and Regulations on Environmental Pollution Liability Insurance. Dr. Bie holds a master's degree in environmental law from Wuhan University and a Ph.D. in environmental law from Peking University.

Jason Bordoff is the Founding Director of the Center on Global Energy Policy at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs, where he is a Professor of Professional Practice. He is also on the faculty of the Columbia Climate School, where he is Co-Founding Dean Emeritus. He previously served as Special Assistant to President Barack Obama and Senior Director for Energy and Climate Change on the Staff of the National Security Council. Prior to that appointment, he held senior policy positions on the White House's National Economic Council and Council on Environmental Quality. Earlier in his career, he was a scholar at the Brookings Institution, served in the Treasury Department during the Clinton Administration, and was a consultant with McKinsey & Company. One of the world's leading energy and climate policy experts, Bordoff's research and policy interests lie at the intersection of economics, energy, environment, and national security.

Bordoff is a columnist for Foreign Policy Magazine and has authored numerous essays and articles for Foreign Affairs. His Foreign Affairs article with Meghan O'Sullivan, "Green Upheaval: The New Geopolitics of Energy," was selected as one of the "Top Ten" print articles published in that journal in 2022.

Bordoff also has extensive experience advising the private sector and non-profit organizations. He chairs the Aspen Institute-Columbia Global Energy Forum and serves on numerous advisory boards and leadership councils, including Sustainable Energy for All at the United Nations, and the World Economic Forum's "Future of Energy Stewardship" and "Mobilizing Investment for Clean Energy in Emerging Economies" programs.

Bordoff graduated with honors from Harvard Law School, where he was Treasurer of the Harvard Law Review, and clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. He also holds an MLitt degree from Oxford University, where he studied as a Marshall Scholar, and a BA magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Brown University.

Dr. Bu Yanhong is the current chairman of Bank of Beijing Wealth Management Co., Ltd.. She obtained her doctoral degree in economics from Renmin University of China, and is a certified senior economist. She previously served as the general manager of the asset management department of Postal Savings Bank of China, the executive director and general manager of PSBC Wealth Management Co., Ltd., and the director and general manager of China Post Securities Co., Ltd..

Dr. Cai Fang is the Chairman of CF40 Academic Committee, academician and chief expert of National Think Tank at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS). He also serves as a member of the Monetary Policy Committee at the People's Bank of China. His research focuses on various aspects of China's economy, including economic reform and development, population and labor economics, economic growth, income distribution, and poverty reduction. He has published extensively on these topics. Among his recent publications are "The Era of Population Decline" (CITIC Press, 2023), "China's Economic Development: Implications for the World" (Taylor & Francis, 2023), and "China's Economic Growth Prospects - From Demographic Dividend to Reform Dividend" (Edward Elgar, 2016).

Mrs. Cha is Chairman of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Ltd. Mrs. Cha is also an Independent Non-Executive Director of Ant Group Co., Ltd., a Senior International Advisor of Foundation Assets Management Sweden AB and a member of Sotheby's International Advisory Board. In addition, she is also Vice Chairman of the International Advisory Council of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, and a Director of the World Federation of Exchanges.

Mrs. Cha became the first, and to-date, the only person outside Mainland China to join the Central Government of the People's Republic of China at the vice ministerial rank when she was appointed as Vice Chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission in January 2001. She served in that position until 2004. Mrs. Cha worked for the Securities and Futures Commission in Hong Kong from 1991 to 2000, becoming its Deputy Chairman in 1998.

Mrs. Cha was a member of Executive Council of the Government of Hong Kong from 2004 to 2022. She was also Chairman of The Financial Services Development Council of Hong Kong from January 2013 to July 2018, and Chairman of the University Grants Committee from 2007 to 2011.

She was awarded a Silver Bauhinia Star in 2001, a Gold Bauhinia Star in 2009 and the Grand Bauhinia Medal in 2017 by the Hong Kong Government for her public service.

Dr. Chan is Inaugural Dean of Vanke School of Public Health, Tsinghua University, China. She joined the Hong Kong Department of Health in 1978, where her career in public health began.

In 1994, Dr. Chan was appointed Director of Health of Hong Kong, the first woman to hold that position. In her nine-year tenure as director, she launched new services to prevent the spread of disease and promote better health. She also introduced new initiatives to improve communicable disease surveillance and response, enhance training for public health professionals, and establish better local and international collaboration. She effectively managed outbreaks of avian influenza and of severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS).

In 2003, Dr. Chan joined WHO as Director of the Department for Protection of the Human Environment. In June 2005, she was appointed Director, Communicable Diseases Surveillance and Response as well as Representative of the Director-General for Pandemic Influenza. In September 2005, she was named Assistant Director-General for Communicable Diseases. Dr. Chan was elected to the post of Director-General on 9 November 2006. The Assembly appointed Dr. Chan for a second five-year term at its sixty-fifth session in May 2012. Dr. Chan's last term began on 1 July 2012 and ended on 30 June 2017.

On 2 April 2020, Dr. Chan was appointed as inaugural Dean of Vanke School of Public Health, Tsinghua University, China.

Dr. Chan obtained her medical degree from the University of Western Ontario in Canada.

Mr. Chen Wenhui is a CF40 Advisor and President of the Northern Finance Institute (NFI). Previously he served as the Vice Chairman of the National Council for Social Security Fund of China (NCSSF), Vice Chairman of the former China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission, and Vice Chairman of the former China Insurance Regulatory Commission (CIRC).

Mr. DENG Bin is Assistant President and Chief Investment Officer of Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China.

Prior to Joining Ping An, Mr. Deng was Chief Investment Officer of China Pacific Insurance (Group) Co. Ltd. and China Pacific Insurance Co., (H.K.) Ltd. Previously, he was Head of Asset Allocation at AIA and Head of Market Risk Management for Asia-Pacific (ex Japan and South Korea) at AIG.

Mr. Deng is a Chartered Financial Analyst, a Certified Financial Risk Manager, and holds an MBA and a Master's degree in Quantitative Model Analysis from Baruch College, City University of New York.

Valdis Dombrovskis is Executive Vice-President of the European Commission responsible for an Economy that Works for People, also in charge of Trade (since October 2020). Before this, he was Vice-President responsible for the euro, social dialogue, financial services and the Capital Markets Union.

In Latvia, he was his country's longest-serving head of government with three terms as prime minister. He served as Finance Minister, was a Member of the Latvian Parliament and elected twice to the European Parliament.

In his pre-political life, he worked as chief economist at the Bank of Latvia and before that, as a research assistant at Mainz University, at the Institute of Solid-State Physics in Latvia and the University of Maryland.

Valdis Dombrovskis holds degrees in both physics and economics.

Dr. Du Yang is a professor and director of Institute of Population and Labor Economics, and director of Research Center for Human Resources, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Main research fields are labor market on China, economic growth, population economics, poverty and development.

Dr. Du Yang published a host of papers on both domestic and international journals and several books on the Chinese labor market. He is principal investigator for some influential research projects. Mr. Duan has devoted himself to asset management practice and research for a long time. With over 20 years' experience in investment and corporate management, he has created outstanding investment performance. Mr. Duan has published a number of works, including Asset Management Practice, Methods and Theory with nine volumes and more than three million Chinese characters. These are the first studies on the asset management market and on the management of asset management companies in China, building a bridge between financial theories and asset management practice.

Weinan E is a professor in the Center for Machine Learning Research (CMLR) and the School of Mathematical Sciences at Peking University. He is also the inaugural director of the AI for Science Institute in Beijing, as well as the director of the Beijing Institute for Big Data Research. He is a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences; a fellow of SIAM, AMS, IOP, CSIAM and ORSC.

His main research interest is numerical algorithms, machine learning and multi-scale modeling, with applications to chemistry, material sciences and fluid mechanics. He was a plenary speaker at the 2022 International Congress of Mathematicians (ICM), a keynote speaker at the 2022 International Conference on Machine Learning (ICML) and an invited speaker at ICM2002 and ICIAM (International Congress of Industrial and Applied Mathematics) 2007. He has also been invited speaker at leading conferences in many other scientific disciplines, including the APS, ACS, AIChe annual meetings, the American Conference of Theoretical Chemistry and the World Congress of Computational Mechanics.

He was awarded the ICIAM Collatz Prize in 2003, the SIAM Kleinman Prize in 2009 and the SIAM von Karman Prize in 2014, the SIAM-ETH Peter Henrici Prize in 2019, the ACM Gordon-Bell Prize in 2020, and the ICIAM Maxwell Prize in 2023.

Jens Eskelund is President of European Union Chamber of Commerce in China. He has also pursued studies in Chinese at Renmin University in Beijing. Coming to Beijing as a student in 1998, Jens Eskelund began his career in China as Commercial Officer at the Danish Embassy to China before taking on a position in marketing for Maersk Line in Beijing in 2000. He has since held positions as General Manager for Public Affairs for Maersk Line in China, Director of Public Affairs for North Asia and later as Managing Director of Maersk China Ltd. before assuming his present role as North Asia Chief Representative for A.P. Moller-Maersk. Primary focus areas comprise engaging government entities, institutions and trade associations on matters of policy, regulatory environment and business development on behalf of the companies within the Maersk Group. Jens Eskelund is a former Chairman of the Danish Chamber of Commerce in China as well as Vice President of the EU Chamber of Commerce in China.

He holds an MA in philosophy and has studied at University of Aarhus and University of Texas at Austin.

FENG Junlan, IEEE Fellow, Chief Scientist of China Mobile, Vice Chairman of the China Artificial Intelligence Industry Alliance, Board Chair of Linux Foundation Network (2020-2023). Dr. Feng received her Ph.D. on Speech Recognition from Chinese Academy of Sciences, and joined AT&T Labs Research in 2001, as a principal researcher until 2013. Dr. Feng joined China Mobile Research in 2013. Since then, she has been leading the AI R&D center of China Mobile - Jiutian. She and the Jiutian team have published over 150 technical research papers, hold 700+ patents, won 16 AI algorithm competition awards, won 20+ national-level and province-level technical awards, undertaken 16 national-level research projects, initiated and led 86% international standards on network intelligence. Jiutian products and AI models under her leadership have been deployed to 3700+ production services and contributed yearly commercial value of 3.9 billion Chinese Yuan. Dr. Feng is a frequent reviewer and program member of major top AI conferences and journals. She had been elected as a member of IEEE speech and natural language processing committee, IEEE industry committee, etc.

Jason Furman is the Aetna Professor of the Practice of Economic Policy jointly at Harvard Kennedy School (HKS) and the Department of Economics at Harvard University. He is also nonresident senior fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics. Furman engages in public policy through research, writing and teaching in a wide range of areas including U.S. and international macroeconomics, fiscal policy, labor markets and competition policy. He co-teaches Ec10 "Principles of Economics", the largest course at Harvard University.

Previously Furman served eight years as a top economic adviser to President Obama, including serving as the 28th Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers from August 2013 to January 2017, acting as both President Obama's chief economist and a member of the cabinet. During this time Furman played a major role in most of the major economic policies of the Obama Administration. Furman also served under President Clinton.

Furman is a member of numerous organizations including the Council on Foreign Relations, the Group of Thirty and the Economic Strategy Group. He also serves as a Trustee of the Russell Sage Foundation and on the advisory boards for the Brookings Papers on Economic Activity, the Bund Summit, the Hamilton Project and the Washington Center for Equitable Growth.

In addition to articles in scholarly journals and periodicals, Furman is a regular contributor to the Wall Street Journal and Project Syndicate and the editor of two books on economic policy. Furman holds a Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University.

Dr. GAO Shanwen is a member of CF40 Academic Committee and Chief Economist of Essence Securities. He is an industry supervisor at the PBC School of Finance at Tsinghua University, and sits on the editorial and academic committee of Tsinghua Financial Review. He is a council member of China Chief Economist Forum (CCEF) and President of the Union of Finance Alumni of Peking University.

Dr. Gao specializes in the analysis and forecast of China’s economic trends and policy directions as well as their implications for the capital market. Dr. Gao has rich experience in analyzing China's inflation problem, business cycle and asset price fluctuations, and has established an analytical framework of his own over the years. His monograph Logic of Economic Operations published in 2013 was a bestseller in China. In his latest book, Truth of Economic Operations which came out in 2020, he explored in depth major issues in China’s economic development over the past decade, focusing on six dimensions including macroeconomic trends, price level changes, production overcapacity, real estate and urbanization, shadow banking and international trade frictions.

Dr. Gao holds a B.S degree and an M.A. degree in Economics from Peking University, and a Doctorate Degree in Economics from the Graduate School of People's Bank of China (now the PBC School of Finance, Tsinghua University). Before joining Essence Securities in 2007, he worked at Everbright Securities and the General Office of the People's Bank of China.

Charles Goodhart, CBE, FBA is Emeritus Professor of Banking and Finance with the Financial Markets Group at the LSE, having previously, 1987-2005, been its Deputy Director. Until retirement in 2002, he had been the Norman Sosnow Professor of Banking and Finance at LSE since 1985. Previously, he had worked at the Bank of England for seventeen years as a monetary adviser, becoming a Chief Adviser in 1980. In 1997 he was appointed one of the outside independent members of the Bank of England's new Monetary Policy Committee until May 2000. Earlier he had taught at Cambridge and LSE. Besides numerous articles, he wrote a couple of books on monetary history; a graduate monetary textbook, 'Money, Information and Uncertainty' (2nd Ed. 1989); two collections of papers on monetary policy, 'Monetary Theory and Practice' (1984) and 'The Central Bank and The Financial System' (1995); and several books and articles on Financial Stability, on which subject he was Adviser to the Governor of the BoE, 2002-2004, and numerous other studies relating to financial markets, monetary policy and history. His latest books include 'The Basel Committee on Banking Supervision: A History of the Early Years, 1974-1997', (2011), and 'The Regulatory Response to the Financial Crisis', (2009).

Gita Gopinath is the First Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) as of January 21, 2022. In that role she oversees the work of staff, represents the Fund at multilateral forums, maintains high-level contacts with member governments and Board members, the media, and other institutions, leads the Fund's work on surveillance and related policies, and oversees research and flagship publications. Ms. Gopinath previously served as the Chief Economist of the Fund from 2019-22.

Prior to joining the IMF, Ms. Gopinath was the John Zwaanstra Professor of International Studies and of Economics at Harvard University's economics department (2005-22) and before that she was an assistant professor of economics at the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business (2001-05).

Ms. Gopinath is an elected fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and of the Econometric Society, and a member of the Group of Thirty. She has previously served as the co-director of the International Finance and Macroeconomics program at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), a member of the economic advisory panel of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and a visiting scholar at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. She is the co-editor of the current Handbook of International Economics and was earlier the co-editor of the American Economic Review and managing editor of the Review of Economic Studies.

Ms. Gopinath received her Ph.D. in economics from Princeton University in 2001, after earning a B.A. from Lady Shri Ram College and M.A. degrees from Delhi School of Economics and the University of Washington.

Guo Kai is Senior Fellow of China Finance 40 Forum. Before joining CF40, Dr. Guo was an economist at the International Monetary Fund in Washington DC and then worked at the People's Bank of China in various capacities, including in the Monetary Policy Department and the International Department. His main research areas include the Chinese economy and its macroeconomic policies as well as international finance. Dr. Guo is the author of three popular Chinese economics books and multiple academic papers in various English and Chinese journals.

Dr. Guo holds a Ph.D. degree in economics from Harvard University.

He Dong is Deputy Director of the Monetary and Capital Markets Department (MCM) of the International Monetary Fund. He has oversight responsibility for MCM's work on digital currencies and fintech. He joined MCM in October 2014 and led MCM's work on global financial stability analysis, monetary and macroprudential policies, and technical assistance on central bank operations.

He Dong holds a doctorate in economics from the University of Cambridge. He started his career in 1993 when he joined the World Bank through the Young Professionals Program. He was a staff member of the World Bank during 1993-1998, of the IMF during 1998-2004, and of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) during 2004-2014. At the HKMA, he was Executive Director responsible for directing research and policy advice on issues relating to the maintenance of monetary and financial stability and the development of financial markets. He was also Director of the Hong Kong Institute for Monetary Research. He has published extensively on macroeconomic and financial market issues.

Mr. He Jianxiong is CF40 Advisor and Former Executive Director for China at the IMF, holds a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree from the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) in China. Since his graduation in 1979, he taught there for a decade. From 1985 to 1987, he was seconded to the Commercial Counsellor’s Office of the Chinese embassy in the United States, after which he returned to UIBE and was appointed deputy director of the English Department in 1988.

Mr. He worked for in the International Department of the People's Bank of China from 1991 to 2014. During this period, he held a few positions at the IMF, including Advisor to Executive Director from 1995 to1997, Alternate Executive Director for China from 2006 to 2009 and Executive Director for China from 2009 to 2011. In 2011, he was appointed Director-General of the International Department of the People's Bank of China and four years later, a Counselor to the People's Bank of China. In the same year, he was named as an Executive Director of Buttonwood Investment Holding Company Ltd and a board member of CNIC Corporation Limited.

Mr. He has long been engaged widely in bilateral, regional and global economic and financial cooperation at institutions and mechanisms including the IMF, G20, BIS, EMEAP and the China-US Strategic Economic Dialogue.

Mr. Hung is CEO for Asia of Standard Chartered. He sits on the Group’s Management Team and is the Chairman of both Standard Chartered Bank (China) Limited and Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore) Limited.

Mr. Hung joined Standard Chartered in 1992 and has held a number of senior management positions spanning corporate, commercial and retail banking. Prior to the current role, he was Regional CEO for Greater China & North Asia, and CEO of Retail Banking, and Wealth Management business globally.

Mr. Hung is a member of the Hong Kong Chief Executive's Council of Advisers, Exchange Fund Advisory Committee, the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited's Board of Directors and the General Committee of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce. He is an economic advisor at the International Consultative Conference on the Future Economic Development of Guangdong Province, mainland China. He was previously the chairman of the Hong Kong Association of Banks, a member of the Financial Services Development Council, a board member of the Hong Kong Airport Authority and the Hong Kong Hospital Authority, and a Council Member of the University of Hong Kong. He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration.

Huang Qifan is CF40 Advisor and the Executive Deputy Director of the Academic Committee of China Institute for Innovation & Development Strategy. Previously, Mr. Huang served as the Mayor of Chongqing.

Mr. Huang's research areas include local financial market development, capital market development, land system reform, housing system reform, digital economy, urban development, industrial transformation and upgrading, cluster development of pillar industries and international trade. He also has rich experience on economic operations and management.

HUANG Yiping is Sinar Mas Chair Professor of Finance and Economics, Deputy Dean of the National School of Development, and Director of the Institute of Digital Finance, the Peking University. Currently, Dr. huang is Fellow of Office of Senior Advisors, the People's Bank of China, he is also a member of the China Finance 40 Forum, a member of the China Economists 50 Forum, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Society of Finance and Banking, Chairman of the Special Committee on Fintech Development and Research of the National Internet Finance Association of China, an Associate Editor of Asian Economic Policy Review, an independent director of the Ant Group and the China Life Insurance. His key research interests are macro economy, financial policy and digital finance.

Previously, he served as a member of the Monetary Policy Committee at the People's Bank of China between 2015 and 2018. He was also a policy analyst at the Research Center for Rural Development of the State Council, Senior Lecturer at the Australian National University, General Mills International Visiting Professor of Economics and Finance at the Columbia Business School, Managing Director and Chief Asia Economist for Citigroup, Managing Director and Chief Economist for Emerging Asia for Barclays, research fellow of the Financial Research Center of the Councilor's Office of the State Council, and the editor-in-chief of China Economic Journal.

Prof Huang received his Bachelor of Agricultural Economics from Zhejiang Agricultural University, Master of Economics from Renmin University of China and PhD in Economics from Australian National University.

Dr. Keyu Jin is a professor of economics at the LSE, where she researches and teaches International Macroeconomics, technology competition and the Chinese Economy. She is the author of the critically acclaimed book The New China Playbook: Beyond Socialism and Capitalism. She is also a board member of Richemont, Ainnovation, a member of China Finance 40. She has taught at Yale and Berkeley in the past, and has a BA, MA, PhD from Harvard University. She was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2014, and also served on the board of Credit Suisse.

Ms. JIN Luo, Ph.D. in Economics. She is currently the Vice Chairwoman of the National Council for Social Security Fund. Previously she held several positions in the People's Bank of China, including Deputy Director-General of the International Department, Deputy Director-General and Bureau Rank Official of the Financial Stability Bureau, Director-General of the Anti-Money Laundering Bureau, Director-General of the Human Resources Department. She also served as President of Tianjin TEDA International Holding (Group) Co., Ltd.

Dr. Jin Zhongxia is Director General of the International Department, the People's Bank of China. He holds a PhD in International Finance from the University of Hawaii, and an MA in Macroeconomic Management and BA in International Economics from Peking University. After joining the People's Bank of China, he held a number of positions in several departments including the International Department, the Monetary Policy Department, the Financial Research Institute, and Representative Office in Americas (New York). Before current appointment, he was Executive Director for China at the International Monetary Fund. He also served as Consultant Expert for World Bank. His work and research covered macroeconomic management, international finance, monetary policy and international economic governance.

Henry Alfred Kissinger was sworn in on September 22, 1973, as the 56th Secretary of State, a position he held until January 20, 1977. He also served as Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs from January 20, 1969, until November 3, 1975. In July 1983 he was appointed by President Reagan to chair the National Bipartisan Commission on Central America until it ceased operation in January 1985, and from 1984-1990 he served as a member of the President's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board. From 1986-1988 he was a member of the Commission on Integrated Long-Term Strategy of the National Security Council and Defense Department. He served as a member of the Defense Policy Board from 2001-2020; and again beginning in November 2021.

At present, Dr. Kissinger is Chairman of Kissinger Associates, Inc., an international consulting firm. He is also a member of the International Council of J.P. Morgan Chase & Co.; a Counselor to and Trustee of the Center for Strategic and International Studies; an Honorary Governor of the Foreign Policy Association; and an Honor Member of the International Olympic Committee. Among his other activities, Dr. Kissinger served as a member of the Board of Directors of ContiGroup Companies, Inc. from 1988-2014 and remains an Advisor to the Board, a position he also holds at American Express Company since 2005, after serving on the Board from 1984. He is also a Trustee Emeritus of the Metropolitan Museum of Art; a Director Emeritus of Freeport-McMoRan Copper and Gold Inc.; and a Director of the International Rescue Committee.

Among the awards Dr. Kissinger has received have been a Bronze Star from the U.S. Army in 1945; the Nobel Peace Prize in 1973; the Presidential Medal of Freedom (the nation’s highest civilian award) in 1977; the Medal of Liberty (given one time to ten foreign-born American leaders) in 1986; and the Department of Defense Distinguished Public Service Award (the Department’s highest honorary award for private citizens and foreign nationals) in 2016.

Dr. Kissinger was graduated summa cum laude from Harvard College in 1950 and received M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Harvard University in 1952 and 1954. From 1954 until 1969 he was a member of the faculty of Harvard University, in both the Department of Government and the Center for International Affairs. He was Director of the Harvard International Seminar from 1952 to 1969.

Dr. Kissinger has published numerous books and articles on United States foreign policy, international affairs, and diplomatic history. His columns appear in leading U.S. and international newspapers.

Mr. Richard C. Koo is the Chief Economist of Nomura Research Institute. He is best known for developing the concept of balance sheet recession which is now widely used around the world to explain post-1990 Japanese and post-2007 Western economies. He has also advised successive prime ministers on how best to deal with Japan's economic and banking problems. Before joining Nomura in 1984, Mr. Koo, a US citizen, was an economist with the Federal Reserve Bank of New York (1981-84). Prior to that, he was a Doctoral Fellow of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System (1979-81).

In addition to being one of the first non-Japanese to participate in the making of Japan's 5-year economic plan, he was also the only non-Japanese member of the Defense Strategy Study Conference of the Japan Ministry of Defense for 1999-2011. Currently he is serving as a Senior Advisor to Center for Strategic and International Studies (Washington D.C.). He is also an Advisory Board Member of Institute for New Economic Thinking (N.Y.C.).

Author of many books on Japanese economy and economics in general, his 2008 book "The Holy Grail of Macroeconomics - Lessons from Japan's Great Recession" (John Wiley & Sons) has been translated into and sold in six different languages. His latest book "The Other Half of Macroeconomics and the Fate of Globalization" (John Wiley & Sons) has been published in February 2018.

Mr. Koo holds BAs in Political Science and Economics from the University of California at Berkeley (1976), and MA in Economics from the Johns Hopkins University (1979). From 1998 to 2010, Mr. Koo was a visiting professor at Waseda University in Tokyo. He is currently a columnist for the German economic daily Handelsblatt.

In financial circles, Mr. Koo was ranked 1st among over 100 economists covering Japan in the Nikkei Financial Ranking for 1995, 1996 and 1997, and by the Institutional Investor magazine for 1998. He was also ranked 1st by Nikkei Newsletter on Bond and Money for 1998, 1999 and 2000. He was awarded the Abramson Award by the National Association for Business Economics (Washington D.C.) for the year 2001.

Mr. LI Wei, PhD, is CEO of China Re Asset Management Co., Ltd. and Chairman of China Re Asset Management (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd. Previously, he was Head of Strategic Client Department of China Re (Group) Co., Ltd., Deputy general manager of China Continent Property Insurance Co., Ltd., President of Beijing Branch; Deputy general manager of Sun Life Everbright AMC, and the Business Director of Sun Life Everbright Insurance Company, etc.

Ms. Julia Leung has been Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) since 1 January 2023.

Ms. Leung joined the SFC in March 2015 as Executive Director of the Investment Products Division. She became Executive Director of the Intermediaries Division in June 2016 and took on the additional capacity of Deputy CEO in March 2018.

In more than 25 years of public service, Ms. Leung has extensive experience in financial regulation, market development and international cooperation. Prior to joining the SFC, Ms. Leung was the Under Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury from August 2008 to December 2013. Before that, she served at the Hong Kong Monetary Authority for 14 years, spending the last eight years as the Executive Director responsible for financial cooperation with Mainland and other international regulators.

Ms. Leung graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and earned a master's degree from Columbia University in the City of New York. In 2014, she authored a book on how Asia has surmounted various financial crises.

Gordon G. Liu, Ph.D., Peking University (PKU) BOYA Distinguished Professor of Economics at the PKU National School of Development, Dean of PKU Institute for Global Health and Development, and an elected member of the Chinese Academy of Medicine. Professor Liu currently serves as the Chinese co-organizer of the U.S.-China Track II Dialogue on Healthcare, and sits on the State Council Health Reform Advisory Commission. He was previously on the fulltime faculty at the University of Southern California, UNC-Chapel Hill, and PKU Guanghua School of Management. He has served as associate editor for several academic journals including China Economic Quarterly and Health Economics, and the editor-in-chief for the China Journal of Pharmaceutical Economics.

Mr. Liu Jun has been Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Executive Director of the Bank of Communications since August 2020, President of the Bank of Communications since July 2020, senior economist. Mr. Liu served as Executive Vice President of China Investment Corporation. Mr. Liu served as Deputy General Manager of China Everbright Group Ltd., Executive Director and Deputy General Manager of China Everbright Group Limited. During the period, he also successively served as Chairman of Sun Life Everbright Life Insurance Company Limited, Vice Chairman of China Everbright Holdings Company Limited., Executive Director and Vice Chairman of China Everbright Limited, Executive Director and Vice Chairman of China Everbright International Limited, and Chairman of China Everbright Industrial (Group) Co., Ltd. Mr. Liu served as Assistant to President and Executive Vice President of China Everbright Bank, during the period he concurrently acted as President of Shanghai Branch of China Everbright Bank and General Manager of the Financial Market Centre of China Everbright Bank.

Mr. Liu obtained his Doctoral degree in Business Administration from Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2003.

Dr. Liu is general manager of Asset and Liability Department at Postal Saving Bank of China, and previously deputy general manager of China Post Savings Bank Wealth Management Co., Ltd.

Prior to this, she was director of Asset Management Division at the Innovation Department of the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission (CBIRC), responsible for regulatory policy research and risk monitoring on banks' wealth management business. In this role, Dr. Liu participated in the research and formulation of Guiding Opinions on Regulating the Asset Management Business of Financial Institutions, Measures for the Supervision and Administration of the Wealth Management Business of Commercial Banks, and Measures for the Administration of Wealth Management Subsidiary Companies of Commercial Banks.

Earlier in her career, Dr. Liu worked at the Policy Research Bureau and Innovation Department of China Banking Regulatory Commission on systemic risk analysis of banks, supervision of credit asset securitization, derivatives trading, regulation of innovative transfer of commercial banks' credit asset.

Dr. Liu holds a PhD in Finance from the Institute of Finance & Banking, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

LIU Shijin is a CF40 Advisor and Deputy Director of the Economic Affairs Committee of the 13th CPPCC, Vice Chairman of China Development Research Foundation, Former Vice Minister of the Development Research Center of the State Council, senior research fellow and doctorate tutor. He is a member of Expert Committee of the China’s 14th Five-Year Planning.

Mr. Liu has long been engaged in research of economic theory and policy. His research fields include macro-economics, industrial development, economic system reform among others. He has led many influential research projects and is the main author of Traps and High Wall: Real Challenges and Choices for China's Economy and Forming a New Normal of Growth in Reform. Patrick Liu graduated from the Department of Electronic Engineering of Tsinghua University and has more than 20 years of experience in management positions in the field of information technology.Prior to joining AliCloud, he served as Vice President of Ant Financial Group, responsible for the commercial promotion and ecological construction of fintech, as well as the commercial expansion of Ant Blockchain. Prior to joining Ant Financial Group, Patrick Liu also served as the General Manager of Greater China for Pivotal Software in the U.S., where he pioneered the market for enterprise-level big data and enterprise-level cloud computing PaaS platforms in the Chinese ,Hong Kong , and Taiwan markets, and was the earliest technological leader in China to promote cloud-native. Prior to that, he worked for Oracle China Software Systems Co., Ltd. and EMC Systems Greater China Branch for more than 10 years, where he held important positions and promoted the technical development and popularization of databases, middleware, and big data in the Chinese market. Patrick Liu has rich overall operation and management experience in enterprise markets such as finance and telecommunication as well as the Internet industry, and has helped many enterprise-level customers to push forward the process of digital transformation. He has written many influential articles in the industry, and has been committed to promoting high-quality growth of business for a long period of time.

Mr. Liu Xiaochun joined Shanghai Finance Institute as Vice President in January 2019. Mr. Liu received a bachelor’s degree from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics.

Mr. Liu spent more than 30 years at the Agricultural Bank of China (ABC), and served as Deputy General Manager of the International Business Department, Vice President of ABC Zhejiang Branch and President of ABC Hong Kong Branch. From July 2014 to April 2018, he was Vice Chairman and President of China Zheshang Bank (CZB).

Ms. LIU Yan is Deputy General Counsel in the Legal Department of the International Monetary Fund. Ms. Liu has advised on all aspects of the IMF’s operations, including its surveillance over member countries’ economies and financial and technical assistance to its members. She currently leads the IMF’s work to help member countries strengthen their legal frameworks to regulate the financial sector and respond to the opportunities and challenges posed by technological changes, and to contribute to the development of international standards for financial regulation. She also oversees the Legal Department’s work on the development and implementation of the IMF polices on lending, sovereign debt restructuring, bank resolution, and corporate and household insolvency and debt enforcement. Ms. Liu frequently lectures and publishes on the law of the IMF and other issues of international financial law.

Liu Yuanchun is President, Professor of Economics, and PhD Supervisor at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SUFE). He also serves as Vice Chairman of China Center for International Economic Exchanges, Researcher of the Institute of Finance of Counsellors' Office of the State Council, Member of Chinese Economists 50 Forum (CE50) and China Finance 40 Forum (CF40). His research interests include open economy macroeconomics, monetary policy and inflation, and China's economic growth. He has published nearly 300 academic papers in leading Chinese journals such as Social Sciences in China, Economic Research Journal, Journal of Management World, People's Daily, Qiushi, and authored over 20 books. Professor Liu has attended a series of socio-economic expert forums and economist forums hosted by the Chairman and the Premier of China.

As the Executive Vice President, Mr. Lowery oversees the departments responsible for macroeconomic analysis, international financial regulation, financial technology, and specific policy areas such as debt transparency and analysis, and sustainable finance. Over the previous eight years, Mr. Lowery helped build and was Managing Director of the Rock Creek Global Advisors consulting firm. Mr. Lowery also served in the U.S. Government for 16 years and held positions at the National Security Council and a number of positions at the U.S. Treasury Department and culminating as the Assistant Secretary for International Affairs from 2005 to 2009 where he managed a 200-person team responsible for economic and financial diplomacy, monetary and banking issues, currency strategy, and trade and investment practices.

Mr. Lowery received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia (Phi Beta Kappa) and his MSc at the London School of Economics.

Alderman Nicholas Lyons took office as the 694th Lord Mayor of the City of London on 11th November 2022. He previously served as Sheriff of the City of London in 2021-22 and in that capacity supported the then Lord Mayor, undertaking numerous engagements and activities at home and abroad.

Nicholas joined Morgan Guaranty Trust Company of New York in London in 1982 then worked at Salomon Brothers and Lehman Brothers. He specialised in advising banks and insurance companies on mergers and acquisitions and raising capital.

He is currently taking a sabbatical as Chairman of Phoenix Group, the largest player in the UK retirement and long term savings industry. He sits on the boards of Convex Group, a specialty insurance underwriter and Miller Insurance Services, a London market insurance broker. He is a member of the Leadership Council of The CityUK, the Advisory Board of the International Business & Diplomatic Exchange, the Association of British Insurers and the Chartered Insurance Institute. He is a Court Assistant at the Merchant Taylor's and Baker’s Companies and a Liveryman of the Worshipful Companies of Insurers and Educators.

Nicholas was elected as Alderman for the Ward of Tower in 2017. He sits on the City Corporation’s Education Board and the Epping Forest and Commons Committee and been a previous member of the Planning and Transportation and Finance Committees.

Dr. Ma Jun is President of Institute of Finance and Sustainability, Chairman of Green Finance Committee of China Society for Finance and Banking, Co-Chair of IPSF Working Group of Sustainable Finance Taxonomy, Co-Chair of Steering Committee of the Green Investment Principles (GIP) for the Belt & Road, Chairman of Hong Kong Green Finance Association, and President of Beijing Green Finance Association.

Dr Ma was formerly Co-Chair of G20 Sustainable Finance Working Group, a member of the Monetary Committee of the People's Bank of China (PBOC), Chief Economist of the PBOC's Research Bureau, Managing Director/Chief Economist/Investment Strategist for Deutsche Bank in Greater China region, senior economist at the World Bank and Economist at the IMF. Dr. Ma has received numerous awards for his achievements in promoting green and sustainable finance in China and globally.

Gene Ma is the Chief Representative for APAC and the Head of China Research at IIF. Prior to joining IIF, Gene was the China Strategist at Tudor Investment. He also served as a managing director at ISI Group (now Evercore ISI), chief macro analyst at Citic Securities, and at China's Ministry of Finance. He has also taught at George Washington University and the University of Illinois. Gene graduated from Peking Univ. and Cornell Univ.

Mr. Miao Yanliang joined CICC in March 2023. Before that he has served for 10 years at China State Administration of Foreign Exchange, including as its Chief Economist since May 2018. He joined in 2013 as Senior Advisor to the Administrator and then Head of Research. He helps formulate global macro views and builds a top-notch research platform for the world’s largest reserve manager. As Chief Economist, he also advises the senior management of PBC/SAFE on a range of economic and policy issues. Before SAFE, he was an economist with the IMF where he worked on emerging markets and then the euro area crisis including as policy coordinator for the Portugal program. Before the IMF, he was visiting the Bank of Israel in 2007 as special assistant to the Governor and taught economics at the Woodrow Wilson School of Princeton University.

Mr. Miao is an adjunct professor of Peking University’s National School of Development, a trustee of Shanghai University and an external member of the Academic Committee of China Development Bank. He publishes extensively on global macro and occasionally as a columnist for Project Syndicate. He holds a Ph.D., an M.A., an M.P.A., all from Princeton University, and an M.A. in economics from Fudan University.

Mr. Sopnendu Mohanty, currently the Chief Fintech Officer at the Monetary Authority of Singapore, is responsible for creating development strategies, public infrastructure, and policies around technology-driven innovation. Mohanty has over two decades of public and private sector experience in technology, operations, digital finance, and investment strategies. He has co-authored several patented works in the application of digital technology in finance and won many industry recognitions.

Mohanty extensively engages with global technology and financial services ecosystems and has championed notable collaborative public goods like API Exchange (APIX), Singapore Fintech Festival, Payment Rails, Data Exchange platforms, and experimental programs like UBIN. In addition, Mohanty advises many international global advisory bodies on Fintech, Innovation and Inclusion. Within five years of his leadership, Singapore has become a leading global Fintech hub producing unicorns and home to many vibrant fintech companies.

Nie Qingping is former Chairman of China Securities Finance Corporation and CF40 guest member. Previously he held positions at the People's Bank of China (PBC), China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), Everbright Securities, China Everbright Limited, and the Securities Association of China.

Mr. Nie is a witness of the history of the reform and development of China's capital market and its opening up to the world. He was involved in the launch of the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges and the establishment of CSRS, responsible for drafting and formulating the early laws and regulations for China’s stock market. He also played a part in helping the IPO of Chinese mainland enterprises in Hong Kong, and engaged in a series of pilot projects for the capital markets.

Mr. Nie received his Master's degree in Finance from the Graduate School of PBC in 1988 and his Ph.D. degree in Economics from Wuhan University in 2000. He also did postdoctoral studies at Peking University. His research interests include capital market theory and practice, international capital flows and international monetary system, comparison of financial regulatory systems, legal system of the securities market, and securities investment theory. He is the author of numerous books including Living and Reflecting: a Chronicle of 30 Years of China's Capital Market Development, China's Capital Market in the New Era: Innovative Development, Governance, and Openness, Bullish about China: The History of China's Capital Market and Financial Opening-up Strategy, and the main editor of Theoretical and Practical Study of Securities Lending; he also published more than 50 academic papers.

Mr. Ning was appointed as Chairman of the Board and Secretary of the Leading Party Group at Sinochem Holdings Corporation Ltd. in April 2021.

Previously, Mr. Ning served as Vice Chairman and General Manager at China Resources Enterprise Limited, concurrently as Chairman at China Resources Enterprise, Limited, China Resources Snow Breweries Co., Ltd., China Resources Land Limited and China Resources Power Holdings Limited, China Resources Vanguard Limited, and sat on the Boards of Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited, SAB Miller Corporation and Hongkong International Terminals Limited.

In December 2004, Mr. Ning was appointed as Chairman and Party Secretary at COFCO Corporation, and he concurrently worked as Chairman at China Foods Limited, COFCO Property (Group) Co., Ltd., Noble Agri, Nidera Company and China Mengniu Dairy Company Limited.

In December 2015, Mr. Ning was appointed as Chairman and Secretary of the Leading Party Group of Sinochem Group Co., Ltd., and he concurrently worked as Chairman at China National Chemical Corporation Ltd., Syngenta Group Co., Ltd., Syngenta AG, Pirelli & C. S.p.A., Sinochem Corporation, Far East Horizon Limited, China Jinmao Holding Group Ltd., Luxi Group Co., Ltd. and Sinochem Hong Kong (Group) Co., Ltd., and sat on the Board of Adama Agricultural Solutions Ltd.

In addition, Mr. Ning is a Standing Committee Member of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Sustainability Working Group Chair of APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC), and Chair of APEC China Business Council.

Mr. Ning had been named China Economic Person of the Year by CCTV three times, China’s Annual Top 25 Most Influential Business Leader Awards by China Entrepreneur for ten consecutive years, China's Most Influential Business Leaders by Fortune, Asia Business Leader Awards by CNBC, and Asian Corporate Director by Corporate Governance Asia, and CEO Lifetime Achievement Awards by Fortune.

Mr. Ning earned his MBA degree from the Business School of the University of Pittsburgh in the United States. He is a Certified Senior International Business Executive.

Mr. Ning Jizhe holds a doctoral degree in Economics from Renmin University and a bachelor's degree in Engineering from Hefei University of Technology. He is a postdoctoral supervisor in both the State Information Center and the China Center for International Economic Exchanges (CCIEE).

Mr. Ning is a member and Vice Director of the Economic Committee of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).

From 1978 to 1982, he studied in the Department of Electrical Engineering as an undergraduate student in Hefei Technology University. From 1982 to 1983, he worked as a technician and an assistant engineer in the Machine Tool Plant of Xinxiang City (affiliated to the then Ministry of Machine Building), Henan Province. From 1983 to 1988, he studied in the Department of Planning of the School of Statistics of Renmin University and achieved a doctoral degree from the university. From 1988 to 2003, he worked as Project Officer, Deputy Dirctor, Director, Deputy Director General in the Department of Long Term Planning(also in the Department of Long Term Planning and Industrial Policies, the Department of Development and Planning) of the State Planning Commission (SPC, predecessor of the National Development and Reform Commission), Director General of the Department of General Affairs and Planning of the office of the Leading Group for Western Region Development under the State Council. From 2003 to 2015, he worked as the Vice Minister, Minister and Head of the Research Office of the State Council. Meanwhile, he was also the Vice President of the Academy of the Macroeconomic Research, Vice President of the Chinese Society of Enviromental Sciences. From August, 2015 to February, 2022, he worked as Vice Chairman (Minister level) and a member of the Leading Party Group of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC). Meanwhile, he worked as Commissioner and Secretary of the Leading Party Group of the National Bureau of Statistics of China as well as the President of the National Statistical Society of China.

He was a delegate to the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and an alternate member of the 19th CPC Central Committee. He was also a member of the 12th National Committee of the CPPCC.

Mari Pangestu was the World Bank Managing Director of Development Policy and Partnerships, March 2020-2023. Prior to joining the Bank Mari Pangestu served as Indonesia's Minister of Trade from 2004 to 2011 and as Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy from 2011 to 2014.

She has had vast experience of over 30 years in academia, second track processes, international organizations and government working in areas related to international trade, investment and development in multilateral, regional and national setting.

Most recently, Ms. Pangestu was a Senior Fellow at Columbia School of International and Public Affairs, as well as Professor of International Economics at the University of Indonesia, honorary professor at the Crawford School of Public Policy, Australian National University and a Board Member of the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), Jakarta.

Ms. Pangestu is highly regarded as an international expert on a range of global issues and has served on a number of boards and task forces such as, the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) in Washington D.C and commissioner for the Low Carbon Development Initiative of Indonesia as well as an executive board member of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). She has also served on the board of a number of private sector companies.

She obtained her bachelor's and master's degree in economics from the Australian National University, and her doctorate in economics from the University of California at Davis.

Jean Pisani-Ferry is a Senior Fellow at Bruegel, the European think tank, a Non-Resident Senior Fellow at the Peterson Institute (Washington DC) and a professor of economics with Sciences Po (Paris).

His current research focuses on the economic impact of climate change mitigation, a topic on which he submitted in May 2023 a report to the French Prime Minister, on European economic policy issues, and on international collective action.

Pisani-Ferry served from 2013 to 2016 as Commissioner-General of France Stratégie, the ideas lab of the French government. In 2017, he contributed to Emmanuel Macron's presidential bid as the Director of programme and ideas of his campaign. He was from 2005 to 2013 the Founding Director of Bruegel, the Brussels-based economic think tank.

Pisani-Ferry has taught at the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin, University Paris-Dauphine, École Polytechnique, École Centrale and the Free University of Brussels. His publications include numerous books and articles on economic policy and European policy issues. He has also been an active contributor to public debates with regular columns in Le Monde and for Project Syndicate.

Adam POSEN has been president of the Peterson Institute for International Economics since January 2013, after joining in July 1997. Over his career, he has contributed to research and public policy regarding monetary and fiscal policies in the G-20, the challenges of European integration since the adoption of the euro, China-US economic relations, and developing new approaches to financial recovery and stability. In September 2009, Posen was appointed by the UK Chancellor of the Exchequer to serve a three-year term as an external voting member of the Bank of England's rate-setting Monetary Policy Committee (MPC).

He received his PhD and BA from Harvard University, and now serves as a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and of the Trilateral Commission. Posen has been the recipient of major grants and research fellowships from the American Academy in Berlin, the Bank of England, the Brookings Institution, the European Commission, the Ford Foundation, the Sloan Foundation, and the US National Science Foundation.

Eswar Prasad is the Tolani Senior Professor of Trade Policy and Professor of Economics at Cornell University. He is also a Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institution, where he holds the New Century Chair in International Economics, and a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research. He was previously chief of the Financial Studies Division in the IMF's Research Department and, before that, was the head of the IMF's China Division.

Prasad's latest book is The Future of Money: How the Digital Revolution is Transforming Currencies and Finance (Harvard University Press, 2021), which was listed among the best economics books of 2021 by The Economist, the Financial Times and Foreign Affairs. He is also the author of Gaining Currency: The Rise of the Renminbi (Oxford, 2016) and The Dollar Trap: How the U.S. Dollar Tightened Its Grip on Global Finance (Princeton, 2014). Prasad has testified before the Senate Finance Committee, the House of Representatives Committee on Financial Services, and the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission. He is the creator of the Brookings-Financial Times world economy index (TIGER: Tracking Indices for the Global Economic Recovery). His op-ed articles have appeared in the Financial Times, Foreign Policy, Harvard Business Review, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Washington Post.

Kerrigan Procter is President of Asia-Pacific for Legal & General, which is one of the world's largest investment managers of pension fund assets. Kerrigan is responsible for developing Legal & General's businesses in Asia-Pacific. He was previously CEO of Legal & General's alternative asset business, Legal & General Capital and CEO of Legal & General's pensions business, Legal & General Retirement.

Kerrigan joined Legal & General in 2006 to set up its Solutions business to provide asset-liability management solutions for pensions and insurance companies together with multi-asset funds for defined contribution pension schemes, a business line now with AUM of over $800 billion. Before joining Legal & General, Kerrigan was a derivative trader and began his career as a pensions consultant.

Kerrigan is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries and has a PhD in Number Theory from King's College London.

Mr. Qian Bin is Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Bank of Communications (BOCOM). He has extensive experience in Fintech, digital transformation of the retail sector, and Internet finance. He led BOC’S implementation of the 14th Five-Year Plan for Fintech development, promoted digitalization in BOC and reform of technology governance. He headed a number of major projects such as enterprise architecture modeling, mid-end system construction and integrated transformation of service branches. He is a recipient of special allowance of China’s State Council.

Professor Qian graduated from Tsinghua University in Mathematics. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University after earning an M.Phil. in Management Science/Operations Research from Yale University and an M.A. in Statistics from Columbia University.

He was on the economics faculties at Stanford University, the University of Maryland, and the University of California, Berkeley. He was the Dean of the School of Economics and Management at Tsinghua University in 2006-2018.

Professor Qian was elected as Fellow of the Econometric Society in 2012 and as inaugural Distinguished Professor of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at Tsinghua University in 2018. He was a recipient of the Sun Yefang Prize in Economic Sciences in 2009 and 2021 and the inaugural China Economics Prize in 2016. His main research areas include comparative economics, institutional economics, economics of transition, the Chinese economy, and the education in China.

He is the author of the book How Reform Worked in China: The Transition from Plan to Market (The MIT Press, 2017) and has published articles in international journals such as The American Economic Review, Journal of Political Economy, The Quarterly Journal of Economics, and The Review of Economic Studies.

Raghuram Rajan is the Katherine Dusak Miller Distinguished Service Professor of Finance at Chicago Booth. He was the 23rd Governor of the Reserve Bank of India between September 2013 and September 2016. Between 2003 and 2006, Dr. Rajan was the Chief Economist and Director of Research at the International Monetary Fund.

Dr. Rajan's research interests are in banking, corporate finance, and economic development. The books he has written include The Third Pillar: How the State and Markets hold the Community Behind 2019 which was a finalist for the Financial Times Business Book of the Year prize and Fault Lines: How Hidden Fractures Still Threaten the World Economy, for which he was awarded the Financial Times prize for Business Book of the Year in 2010.

Dr. Rajan is a member of the Group of Thirty. He was the President of the American Finance Association in 2011 and is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. In January 2003, the American Finance Association awarded Dr. Rajan the inaugural Fischer Black Prize for the best finance researcher under the age of 40. The other awards he has received include the Infosys prize for the Economic Sciences in 2012, the Deutsche Bank Prize for Financial Economics in 2013, Euromoney Central Banker Governor of the Year 2014, and Banker Magazine (FT Group) Central Bank Governor of the Year 2016.

Klaus Regling has worked for almost 50 years in senior positions in the public and the private sector in Europe, Asia and the United States. After studying economics at the Universities of Hamburg and Regensburg, he worked 11 years for the International Monetary Fund in Washington and Jakarta and a decade for the German Ministry of Finance, where he prepared EMU. He was Director General for Economic and Financial Affairs at the European Commission from 2001 to 2008 and subsequently spent a year at the Lee Kuan Yew School in Singapore. His experience in the private sector includes work for the German Bankers' Association (1980-81), the Moore Capital Group (1999-2001) and as Chairman of KR-Economics (2009-10). From 2010 to 2022 Klaus Regling was the CEO of the EFSF and from 2012 to 2022 the Managing Director of the ESM. Currently, he is Special Adviser to Commissioner Hahn.

Mr. Ren Chunsheng is Chairman of Shanghai Insurance Exchange. Previously, he served in a number of senior positions in the insurance industry and regulatory agencies, including Chairman of China Insurance Investment Co., Director-General of Insurance Fund Investment Supervision Department at the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission (CBIRC), and Director-General of Finance and Accounting Department (Solvency Supervision Department) at the former China Insurance Regulatory Commission (CIRC).

Robert E. RUBIN served as the 70th Secretary of the U.S. Treasury. He began his career in finance at Goldman, Sachs & Company and served as vice chairman and co-chief operating officer. Rubin joined the Clinton Administration in 1993 as the first director of the White House National Economic Council. He served as a member of the board of directors at Citigroup and as a senior advisor to the company. In 2010, he joined Centerview Partners as senior counselor. In June 2017, he concluded his 10-year term as Co-Chairman of the Council on Foreign Relations and now serves as Co-Chairman Emeritus; is Vice Chairman of the Boards of Trustees of the Mount Sinai Health System; and is Chairman of the Local Initiatives Support Corporation. From 2002 to 2014, he was a member of the Harvard Corporation, and from 2016 to 2022, he served as a member of its Finance Committee. He is one of the founders of The Hamilton Project, an economic policy project housed at the Brookings Institution.

Rubin is the author of The Yellow Pad: Making Better Decisions in an Uncertain World (2023) and In an Uncertain World: Tough Choices from Wall Street to Washington (2003), which was a New York Times bestseller as well as being named one of Business Week's ten best business books of the year.

He graduated from Harvard College summa cum laude and received an LL. B from Yale Law School. He has received honorary degrees from Harvard, Yale, Columbia, and other universities.

Jeffrey D. Sachs is University Professor and Director of the Center for Sustainable Development at Columbia University, where he directed the Earth Institute from 2002 until 2016. He is President of the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network, Co-Chair of the Council of Engineers for the Energy Transition, Commissioner of the UN Broadband Commission for Development, academician of the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences at the Vatican, and Tan Sri Jeffrey Cheah Honorary Distinguished Professor at Sunway University. He has been Special Advisor to three United Nations Secretaries-General, and currently serves as an SDG Advocate under Secretary General António Guterres.

He spent over twenty years as a professor at Harvard University, where he received his B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. degrees. Sachs has received 42 honorary doctorates, and his recent awards include the 2022 Tang Prize in Sustainable Development, the Legion of Honor by decree of the President of the Republic of France, and the Order of the Cross from the President of Estonia. His most recent books are The Ages of Globalization: Geography, Technology, and Institutions (2020) and Ethics in Action for Sustainable Development (2022).

Jeffrey J. Schott joined the Peterson Institute for International Economics in 1983 and is a senior fellow working on international trade policy and economic sanctions. During his tenure at the Institute, Schott was also a visiting lecturer at Princeton University (1994) and an adjunct professor at Georgetown University (1986–88). He was a senior associate at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace (1982–83) and an official of the US Treasury Department (1974–82) in international trade and energy policy. During the Tokyo Round of multilateral trade negotiations, he was a member of the US delegation that negotiated the GATT Subsidies Code. He previously was a member of the State Department's Advisory Committee on International Economic Policy and cochaired the Trade and Environment Policy Advisory Committee for the US Trade Representative.

Schott is the author, coauthor, or editor of numerous books on trade, including Trans-Pacific Partnership: An Assessment (2016), Local Content Requirements: A Global Problem (2013), NAFTA and Climate Change (2011), as well as numerous articles on US trade policy and economic sanctions.

Schott holds a BA degree magna cum laude from Washington University, St. Louis (1971), and an MA degree with distinction in international relations from the School of Advanced International Studies of Johns Hopkins University (1973).

Mr. SHANG Fulin was appointed as Chairman of the 13th Subcommittee for Economic Affairs of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) in March 2018. He currently also serves as a member of the 13th Standing Committee of the CPPCC. He was once an alternate member of the 16th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and a member of the 17th and 18th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.

Prior to the current position, Mr. SHANG held various positions in both government agencies and financial institutions, including, among others, Vice Chairman of the 12th Subcommittee for Economic Affairs of the CPPCC (February 2017-March 2018), Chairman of the China Banking Regulatory Commission (October 2011-February 2017), Chairman of China Securities Regulatory Commission (December 2002-October 2011), President of Agricultural Bank of China (February 2000-December 2002), Assistant Governor and then Deputy Governor of the People's Bank of China (October 1994-February 2000).

Mr. SHANG received his doctorate degree in Finance from Southwestern University of Finance and Economics and was awarded as "China Economic Person of the Year" in 2006.

Nathan Sheets, Ph.D., is Global Chief Economist at Citi Research. In this role, Nathan leads Citi's surveillance and forecasting of the global economy and directs the analysis of the firm's economics team. He interacts closely with Citi's major institutional clients and internal risk takers, and publishes research on cross-cutting themes shaping the global economy and financial markets.

Most recently, Nathan was Chief Economist and a member of the senior investment team at PGIM Fixed Income. He also has served as Under Secretary of the U.S. Treasury for International Affairs, representing the U.S. government on international economic issues. Previously, he held positions with Citigroup, as Global Head of International Economics, and with the Federal Reserve Board, as Director of the Division of International Finance and FOMC Economist. In addition, Nathan was a senior advisor to the U.S. Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund and a visiting fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics. He joined Citi in October 2021.

Dr. Shen Shanzhou is the Deputy Secretary of CPC Huangpu Committee and District Mayor of Huangpu District. He holds an MBA and a PhD in Economics.

As the BIS Economic Adviser, Mr Shin co-leads the Monetary and Economic Department and is part of the Bank's senior management as a member of its Executive Committee.

Mr Shin has a background in academia. Before he took up his current position in May 2014, he was the Hughes-Rogers Professor of Economics at Princeton University, having previously held appointments at Oxford University and the London School of Economics. He has been an intellectual leader in the fields of banking, international finance and monetary economics, topics on which he has published widely, both in leading academic and official publications.

One area of recent focus has been in developing the BIS's research programme on digital innovation and the financial system, including the design of central bank digital currencies and their implications for users, financial intermediaries and the central bank. Mr Shin was part of the BIS management team that developed the BIS Innovation Hub, and served as its Interim Head at its launch in 2019.

In 2010, while on leave from Princeton University, he served as Senior Adviser to the Korean president, taking a leading role in formulating financial stability policy in Korea and developing the agenda for the G20 during Korea's presidency.

Masaaki Shirakawa was previously Governor of the Bank of Japan. He was appointed as Governor in April 2008, and left the Bank in March 2013. He was also Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank for International Settlements—an organization often described as the central bank of central banks—between January 2011 and March 2013. Currently, he is Distinguished Guest professor of Aoyama-Gakuin University (Tokyo) and a member of the Group of Thirty—a private, non-profit, international body composed of senior policymakers from central banks, supervisory agencies, the financial sector, and academia.

Masaaki Shirakawa joined the Bank of Japan (Tokyo) in 1972. At the Bank, he held various key positions, including the Bank's Chief Representative in the Americas and Executive Director in charge of monetary policy. Other professional experiences include professorship at the Kyoto University School of Government from July 2006 to March 2008.

Michael Spence is the Philip H. Knight Professor Emeritus of Management in the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University, a Senior Fellow of the Hoover Institution at Stanford and a Distinguished Visiting Fellow of the Council on Foreign Relations. He is an Adjunct Professor at Bocconi University in Milan, and an Honorary Fellow of Magdalen College, Oxford University.

In 2001, he received the Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences for his work in the field of information economics.

He is a Senior Advisor to Jasper Ridge Partners and a Senior Advisor to General Atlantic Partners. He chairs the Advisory Council of the Asia Global Institute, and was the Chairman of The Independent Commission on Growth and Development (2006-2010). He is a member of the Advisory Council of the Luohan Academy in Hangzhou. He served as Dean of the Stanford Business School from 1990 to 1999 and Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Harvard University from 1984 to 1990.

He was awarded the John Kenneth Galbraith Prize for excellence in teaching and the John Bates Clark Medal for a "significant contribution to economic thought and knowledge".

Mr. Su Gang currently serves as chief investment officer of China Pacific Insurance and director of CPIC AMC. Previously, Mr. SU served as head of the Investor Relations Department of China Pacific Insurance, deputy general manager of CPIC AMC, deputy general manager of CPIC Life, general manager and chairman of Changjiang Pension. Before joining China Pacific Insurance, Mr. SU served as general manager of the Fixed Income Department of Shenyin Wanguo Securities Company.

Mr. SU holds a PhD degree.

Dr. SUN Mingchun is a Vice Chairman of the Chinese Financial Association of Hong Kong and a member of China Finance 40 Forum. He also serves as a member of the sustainable development committee of the Silk Road Fund, a senior economic advisor to Tencent Group, an independent and non-executive director of WeiMob Inc. and Great Wall Pan Asia Holdings Limited.

Previously, Dr. Sun had worked for global investment banks such as Haitong International, Nomura, Daiwa and Lehman Brothers, serving multiple roles including Chief China/Asia/Global Economist and head of China research. He also worked as an economist at China’s State Administration of Foreign Exchange.

Dr. Sun obtained his doctorate degree in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University and his bachelor’s degree in international economics from Fudan University.

Jean-Claude Trichet is President of the French Academy of Moral and Political Sciences. He is Special Advisor of the Systemic Risk Council (Washington). He is chairperson of the Eminent Persons Group advising the IFRS on the green transition, He is an honorary inspecteur général des Finances and ingénieur civil des Mines and Chairman of the International Advisory Board of the Bund Summit.

Jean-Claude Trichet is European honorary Chairman of the Trilateral Commission, honorary Chairman of the Bruegel Institute (Brussels) and honorary Chairman of the G30 (Washington).

Mr. TU Guangshao is CF40 Executive Council Member and Chairman of Executive Council of SFI. He is a member of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). Mr. Tu holds a master's degree in economics from Peking University and was accorded Senior Economist by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security. Lord Turner chairs the Energy Transitions Commission, a global coalition of companies, NGOs, and experts working to achieve a net zero economy by 2040.

He is Chairman of insurer group Chubb Europe, and on the Advisory Board of Shanghai energy group Envision. From 2008-2013, Lord Turner chaired the Financial Services Authority, leading the redesign of global banking and shadow banking regulation.

Alongside a business career, he has held a number of public policy roles: he was Director General of the Confederation of British Industry (1995-2000); chaired the Low Pay Commission (2002-2006), the Pensions Commission (2003-2006), and the Climate Change Committee (2008-2012).

Wang Shengming currently serves as the Director and President of CIB Wealth Management Co., Ltd. With over 25 years of experience in the financial industry, he possesses extensive expertise in asset management. Mr. Wang has held various key positions throughout his career, including General Manager Assistant of the Capital Operation Center at Industrial Bank, Vice President of the Asset Management Department at Industrial Bank, and Vice President at CIB Wealth Management Co., Ltd.

In 1992, he obtained a Bachelor's degree in National Economic Management from Peking University. Before joining the PBC, he was director for policy research at the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, an economist at China International Capital Corporation (CICC) and at the State Council Office for Restructuring the Economic System.

Mr. WANG is a member of CF40, a think tank. His research interests include sustainable finance, international economy, financial system reform and so on. He has authored many academic papers published on Review of International Political Economy, China and World Economy and other journals. One of his papers was awarded Sun Yefang Prize in economics.

Mr. Wang received his M.P.A. from Harvard Kennedy School and was honored for his contribution to the Edward S. Mason Program.He earned his M.A. in economics from the Graduate School of People’s Bank of China and B.A. from Peking University.

Wang Yiming works as Vice Chairman of China Center for International Economic Exchanges (CCIEE) and Member of the Monetary Policy Committee in People’s Bank of China. He is Member of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). He served as Vice President (Vice Minister) and Senior Research Fellow of DRC from 2015 to 2020. He is a part-time doctoral supervisor at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, professor of Renmin University. He graduated from Nankai University in 1989 with a PhD Degree in Economics. After that, he worked at the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) for more than 20 years and took the posts as Executive Vice President of Academy of Macroeconomics Research and Deputy Secretary General of NDRC. From 1993 to 1994, he had been a visiting scholar at the Department of Applied Economics of the University of Leuven in Belgium.

He has been engaged in research on macroeconomic policy, strategy and planning for long. He has published more than 200 academic papers and theoretical articles on important journals both at home and abroad, authored and co-authored more than 10 books. As an expert he enjoys special government allowance. He has won many awards for outstanding research achievements.

Mark Wang is the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors, President and Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Bank (China) Company Limited ("HSBC China"). He is also a General Manager of the HSBC Group.

Mr. Wang joined HSBC in 2005, and has served in a number of leadership positions, driving in particular China-related business in trading and capital markets mainly. In June 2016, he was appointed Head of Global Banking and Markets China at the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited.

In March 2020, Mr. Wang assumed the role of Deputy Chairman of the Board of HSBC China. He became President and Chief Executive Officer of HSBC China in June 2020. Mr. Wang was appointed by the HSBC Group as a General Manager in September 2021.

Mr. Wang is also Supervisor of HSBC Jintrust Fund Management Company Limited.

With over 30 years of experience, Mr. Wang is one of the earliest bankers in mainland China dedicated to the international capital markets. Prior to HSBC, Mr. Wang held a number of senior management roles for Bank of China and Deutsche Bank, respectively in mainland China, Hong Kong and London.

Mr. Wang is a member of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the 14th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). He represents HSBC as Director of the 6th Standing Council of China Banking Association Foreign Bank Working Committee. He is Director of Shanghai Financial Association and Director of its Specialists Committee of Finance Talents, a member of the Strategic Development Committee of Shenzhen Stock Exchange and a council member of China Finance 40 Forum. Mr Wang is also a management committee member of China Children Development Fund on behalf of HSBC.

Mr Wang holds a Bachelor's degree in International Finance from Fudan University.

Prof. Axel A. Weber is President of the Center for Financial Studies at Goethe University Frankfurt, and Chairman of the Trilateral Commission Europe. He was Chairman of UBS Group AG in Zürich (2012-2022) and Chairman of the Institute for International Finance (IIF).

He served as President of the Deutsche Bundesbank in Frankfurt (2004-2011), during which time he also served as a member of the Governing Council of the European Central Bank, as a member of the Board of Directors of the Bank for International Settlements, as German governor of the International Monetary Fund, and as a member of the G7 and G20 Ministers and Governors. He was a member of the steering committees of the European Systemic Risk Board and the Financial Stability Board.

His academic career encompasses professorships in international economics, monetary economics and economic theory at the universities of Cologne, Frankfurt, Bonn and a Visiting Professorship at the University of Chicago Booth School.

He holds a master’s degree in economics from the University of Constance and a PhD in economics from the University of Siegen, where he also received his habilitation. He holds honorary doctorates from the universities of Duisburg-Essen and Constance.

Wu Yushan, Secretary-general of New Finance Alliance and CEO of CFCITY, is committed to establishing a high-quality platform for political discussion, business exchanges and talent training in the financial industry. She once worked in the top domestic financial media, and served as a senior reporter, Deputy Director of the Beijing News Center, and Director of the Financial Section. She has long focused on the research of China's banking industry, and has published related articles and books with over one million words, including "Twenty Years of Reform - Bank of Communications and the Evolution of China's Banking Industry" and "Genesis of Development Finance".

Mr. XIAO Gang is CF40 Non-Resident Senior Fellow. He joined the People's Bank of China in 1981. From 1994 to 1996, he served as Director of Policy Research Office of PBC, General Manager of China Foreign Exchange Trading Center, and Director of the Planning and Capital Department of PBC. From 1996 to 1998, he was Assistant Governor of PBC; after that until 2003, he served as Deputy Governor and a member of the Monetary Policy Committee of PBC, and oversaw trust business. From 2003 to 2004, he was Chairman and President of Bank of China and acted as Party Secretary of China Orient Asset Management Co., Ltd. After that until 2013, he served as Chairman of Bank of China Limited. From 2013 to 2016, he was Chairman of China Securities Regulatory Commission. In 2018, he was elected Member of the 13th National Committee of CPPCC. He was Alternate Member of the 17th CPC Central Committee and Member of the 18th CPC Central Committee.

H.E. Mr. XIE Zhenhua was graduated from Department of Engineering Physics of Tsinghua University and got his Master Degree of Environment Law at Wuhan University. Minister XIE Zhenhua has been China Special Envoy for Climate Change since February 2021. He has been Special Advisor for Climate Change Affairs of China, Ministry of Environment and Ecology (MEE) since April 2020. He was Special Representative for Climate Change Affairs of China from 2015 to 2019. In the past decades, he served as Head of the former National Environmental Protection Agency, Minister of the former State Environmental Protection Administration, and Vice Chairman (Minister for Climate Change, Resource Conservation, Environment Protection, Energy Saving, Emission Reduction and Circular Economy) of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), as well as Vice Chairman for the Committee on Population, Resources and Environment of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) at its 12th session. He was a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) at its 16th and 18th sessions, and a member of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the CPC at its 15th and 17th sessions.

Minister XIE Zhenhua has long overseen environmental protection, resource conservation, energy saving and pollution reductions and climate change in China, and has thus made outstanding contributions to the green, low-carbon, circular and sustainable development and ecological civilization progress in China, as well as to the multilateral process on environment and climate. Since 2007, Minister XIE Zhenhua has been leading the Chinese negotiation team to make unremitting efforts for more than ten consecutive years, and played a prominent role in the adoption, signing, entry into force and implementation of the Paris Agreement, as well as in the development of the implementation arrangements for the Paris Agreement. He also promoted concrete cooperation in energy conservation, emission reductions and green and low-carbon development between China and more than 30 countries, regions and international organizations, release joint statements and other outcomes and helped train over one thousand officials and technicians in the field of climate change for more than 100 developing countries. In November 2020, Minister XIE Zhenhua joined as a member of the UN High-level Advisory Group on Climate Action, initiated and led by the UN Secretary-General Guterres, to provide strategic advice and policy recommendations to his agenda on combating global climate change.

Xu Kefei, doctor of Economics, senior Economist, one of the first domestic sponsor representatives. He is currently deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Bohai Securities Co., LTD. He is also a researcher of the China Academy of Financial Reserch (CAFR), a supervisor of the Northern Finance Institute (NFI), and a professional member of the Committee on Investment Banking of Securities Association of China (SAC). He served as the project leader and sponsor representative of many major projects, such as A-share listing of China Construction Bank, his responsible business of Investment banking, research and OTC market was awarded "New Fortune Top 10 Best Investment Banks", "The Most Potential Research Institute", "CBIRC Youth Model Unit Award".

Mr. Xu has written four professional securities-related books and published several articles in top economics journals. As principle investigator and participants, he has managed several research projects effort by the Shanghai Stock Exchange and the China Securities Association. His personal work "Alternative Investment Bank - Investment Bank Concept and Practice of Special Asset Management" was published by China Financial Publishing House and rated as "Excellent Book in Economics and Finance" by Tencent Financial Research Institute.

Mr. Xu joined the former Department of Long-term Planning under National Planning Commission in 1989 and later successively served as Deputy Director General of the Department of Development Planning of NDRC, Director General of the Department of Fiscal and Financial Affairs and the Department of Development Planning of NDRC, Director of China Center for Urban Development, and Chairman (Associate) of the China-U.S. Green Investment Management Co., Ltd., among others.

Xu participated in the formulation of several China’s Five-Year Plans for economic and social development, urbanization plans, regional development plans and policies, major industrial policies and the drafting work of the Political Report to the 19th National Congress of the CPC, presided over the preparation of the “13th Five-Year Plan”, and participated in China’s WTO accession talks. He also participated in the formulation of major reform plans in the financial sector, as well as the development, system construction and supervision of capital markets, especially the bond market and private equity investment market, and served as a member of Issuance Appraisal Committee of China Securities Regulatory Commission for three sessions.

Dr. Ming XU is the professor and doctoral supervisor of School of International Finance Law, China University of Political Science and Law (ECUPL). Concurrently he holds posts as the vice president of China Securities Law Research Association, the executive director of China Commercial Law Society, the member of Administrative Reexamination Committee of China Securities Regulatory Commission and the member of Listing Committee of Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE). He was former chairman of the board of Beijing Stock Exchange and National Equities Exchange and Quotations (NEEQ), the former president of China Securities Investor Services Center, and former executive vice-president of SSE. His independent publications include the Compensation Theory of Personality Defamation, the Theory and Practice of NEEQ, the Cognition and Practice of Capital Market, the Research of Problems of Corporate Law, etc. He is the coauthor of the books of the Civil Law and Tort Law, the New Theory of Personality Rights Law, the Research of Problems of Securities and Futures Market, the Science of Civil Law, the Legal Norm of Securities Market Organization and Behaviour, etc., and published nearly 70 dissertations on the China Legal Science, Law Science, Law Review, Journal of Comparative Law, China Finance and other core journals.

Dr. Xu obtained Ph.D. in Law (LL.D.) from China Renmin University in 1993.

XU Qiyuan joined IWEP (Institute of World Economics and Politics), CASS (Chinese Academy of Social Sciences) since 2008, and becomes a senior fellow since 2017. Now, he is the Deputy Director, Institute of World Economics and Politics, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. In 2012, he also took up the role of advisor to the international collaboration department in Ministry of Finance of PRC. Xu also sits in the work team of CEEM (China’s External Economic Environment) in IWEP. This work team issues a quarterly report on global macroeconomics, and he is responsible for the research on China’s economy and RMB issues.

He has published 80 academic papers, hundreds of columns published in Financial Times, Project Syndicate in English and leading medias in Chinese. Ten books have been published on China’s economy and RMB’s topic. Qiyuan has been a visiting fellow at CIGI (2014), Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (2014), Bruegel (2013), Hitotsubashi University (2009), and the Institute of International Monetary Affairs(IIMA) at Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ (2011).

His interests mainly focus on International finance, China’s macro economy and policies, global supply chain.

Mr. Xu Zhi is member of CPC Huangpu Standing Committee, Deputy District Mayor of Huangpu District, dean of Huangpu District Academy of Governance.

Xun Yugen is Chief Economist of Haitong Securities. He also serves as a member of the Council of China Chief Economist Forum. He was awarded Shanghai Leading Talent, and Best Analyst by New Fortune for six consecutive years. He is the author of the book Xun Yugen on Strategy: Less is More.

Mr. Xun holds a Ph.D. in Economics and is a Certified International Investment Analyst.

Mr. YANG Minghui serves as an executive Director, the President and member of the Executive Committee of CITIC Securities. Mr. YANG joined the Company at the time of the establishment of the Company in 1995 and was appointed as a Director of the Company on 19 January 2016. Mr. YANG also serves as the chairman of China AMC. Mr. YANG served as a Director, an assistant manager and a deputy general manager of the Company; a director and executive vice-president of CITIC Holdings and a director of CITIC Trust from May 2002 to August 2005; the chairman of CITIC-Prudential Fund Management Co., Ltd. from July 2005 to January 2007; and an executive director and the president of China Jianyin Investment Securities Company Limited from August 2005 to October 2011. Mr. YANG was granted the title of senior economist by China International Trust and Investment Corporation, the predecessor of CITIC Group, in October 1996. Mr. YANG obtained a Bachelor’s degree in engineering (majoring in mechanical manufacturing technology and equipment) from the Department of Mechanical Engineering of East China Institute of Textile Science and Technology in 1982 and obtained a Master’s degree in engineering (majoring in textile machinery) from the Department of Mechanical Engineering of East China Institute of Textile Science and Technology in 1985.

Yang Weimin is Vice Chairman of China Center for the International Economic Exchanges (CCIEE). Previously he had served as the Director-General of the Department of Development Planning at the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), Deputy Director of the Office of the Central Leading Group for Financial and Economic Affairs, member of the Standing Committee of the 13th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and Deputy Director of the Committee for Economic Affairs of the National Committee of CPPCC. He played a major role in the drafting of China's six most recent Five-Year Plans.

Mr. Yang received his B.A. in Economics from Jilin University.

YANG Yanqing is Currently Executive Head of Digital Economy Research Team in Shanghai AI Laboratory, Professor of Economics in Fudan University. Senior fellow of National Institute of Finance and Development, Executive Vice President of Shanghai Statistical Society, Member of strategic advisory board on private sector for Shanghai Municipal government, CPPCC member of Shanghai, Member of Consultative committee of China-Singapore financial cooperation program for Chongqing Municipal government.

Being a founder of China Business News, she followed China’s macro economy, financial markets, technology innovation and its interconnectedness with the rest of the world by leading reporting team both in Chinese and in English, writing a column and hosting in-depth TV programs with top global statesmen, economists, scientists and business leaders. Dr. Yao Yang is a Liberal Arts Chair Professor at the China Center for Economic Research (CCER) and the National School of Development (NSD), Peking University. He currently serves as the director of CCER, the dean of NSD, the executive dean of the ISSCAD, and the editor of CCER’s house journal China Economic Quarterly. He serves the chairman of China Economic Annual Meetings and chairman of the Foundation of Modern Economics. He is a member of China Economist 50 Forum. His research interests include economic transition and development in China. He has published more than hundred research papers in international and domestic journals including China Social Sciences, American Economic Review and American Political Science Review. He publishes or edits a dozen books on institutional economics, political economy and economic development in China. He is also a prolific writer for magazines and newspapers, including the Financial Times and the Project Syndicate.

Dr. Yao was awarded the 2008 and 2014 Sun Yefang Award in Economic Science, the 2008 and 2010 Pu Shan Award in International Economics and the 2008 Zhang Peigang Award in Development Economics, and was named the Best Teacher by the PKU Student Union in 2006 and the Best Advisor by the PKU Graduate Students Union in 2017.

Dr. Yao obtained a BS in geography in 1986 and an MS in economics in 1989, both from Peking University, and his PhD in development economics from the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics at the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 1996.

Yin Yanlin is Deputy Director of Economic Affairs Committee of the 14th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Former Deputy Director of the Office of the Central Financial and Economic Commission. Previously, he worked in the National Development and Reform Commission (the National Planning Commission, the National Development Planning Commission) and the Office of the Central Financial and Economic Leading Group.

Mr. Eddie Yue was appointed Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) from 1 October 2019. He began his career as an Administrative Officer in the Hong Kong Government in 1986. He joined the HKMA upon its establishment in 1993 and was promoted to Division Head a year later. He was appointed Executive Director in 2001 and subsequently Deputy Chief Executive in 2007 before taking up his current position.

Mr. Yue has participated in numerous areas of the HKMA’s work. During his tenure as Deputy Chief Executive, he steered major policies and initiatives relating to reserves management, research, external affairs and market development. Mr. Yue was also actively involved in tackling major financial crises and played an instrumental role in enhancing the Linked Exchange Rate System.

Mr. Yue was educated at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Harvard Business School.

Mr. Yu Yongding is a CF40 Advisor, Chairman of the Academic Committee of Pu Shan Foundation, Academician of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), and Senior Fellow of the Institute of World Economics and Politics (IWEP) at CASS. He received his D.Phil. in economics from the University of Oxford. He is also a Member of the Advisory Committee of National Planning at the National Development and Reform Committee (2004- ), and a Member of the Advisory Committee of Foreign Policy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2010- ). He was Director of the Institute of World Economics and Politics (1998-2009), a Member of the Monetary Policy Committee of People’s Bank of China (2004-2006), and President of China Society of World Economics. He has served as Chairman of the Academic Committee of Pu Shan Foundation since 2016.

Prof Yu has published extensively on macroeconomics, international finance and world economy, and authored more than 10 books. He has been Editor-in-Chief of World Economy since 1998.

Zhang Bin is a Non-resident Senior Fellow of CF40, and Deputy Director of the Institute of World Economics and Politics at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS). His research is in the field of macroeconomy, with a special focus on China’s economic restructuring, global economy, the RMB exchange rate and monetary policy. A prolific researcher, Dr. Zhang has published more than 50 papers in leading academic journals. In addition, he has led over more than 30 research projects funded by multiple institutions including the National Social Science Fund of China, the People’s Bank of China, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development as well as Asian Development Bank.

Mr. Zhang is Deputy Secretary of CPC Committee and Chairman, CMBC Wealth Management. He joined China Minsheng Bank in 1998. Since then, he has gained extensive professional and management experience. He served as Assistant Chairman, Vice Chairman, and Member of the CPC Committee in the Shenzhen Branch of China Minsheng Bank; Secretary of the CPC Committee and Vice Chairman in the Chongqing Branch of China Minsheng Bank; General Manager of Asset & Liability and Financial Management, Asset Custody, Bills Business, and Asset Management Departments in the Headquarter of China Minsheng Bank.

Mr. Zhang holds a Master’s degree.

ZHANG Weiguo was the former Dean of the School of Accountancy of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, and a PhD supervisor at the same school and Tsinghua University. From 1997, Mr. Zhang worked at China Securities Regulatory Commission where he served as Chief Accountant and Director-General of the Accounting Department and the Department of International Affairs. In 2007, Zhang was appointed as a member of the International Accounting Standards Board based in London and held the post until 2017.

Mr. Zhang is a recipient of State Council Special Allowance and was awarded the National Excellent Teacher Award by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. He is currently PwC Professor in Accounting at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, visiting professor of management practice at Tsinghua University, and member of Board of Directors and that of Executive Committee of International Foundation for Valuing Impacts.

Mr. Zhang holds a Ph.D. in economics from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics.

Mr. Zhang Xiangchen has been Deputy-Director General of WTO since 1 June 2021. He has long and extensive experience on WTO issues, trade negotiations and policy research.

Prior to his current position, he served as Vice Minister of Commerce of China. He was China's Ambassador to the WTO from 2017 to 2020, Deputy China International Trade Representative (vice-minister level) from 2015 to 2017, Assistant Minister of Commerce from 2013 to 2015. He also held several other senior positions in the Ministry of Commerce, including Director General for Policy Research from 2011 to 2013, and Director General for WTO Affairs from 2005 to 2008. In 2005, he was appointed chief negotiator for China-Australia FTA. From 1992 to 2001, he was a leading aide to China's Chief Representative for GATT/WTO accession negotiations.

Mr. Zhang holds a bachelor's degree in law, a master's degree in international relations and a PhD in international politics.

Dr. Zhang Xiaohui is Non-Resident Senior Fellow of CF40. She was a visiting scholar at Stanford University from 1999 to 2000, and attended the Leadership training program at Harvard Kennedy School in 2012. She spent most of her career at the People’s Bank of China, working as Assistant Governor, a member of the Monetary Policy Committee, Director-General of the Monetary Policy Department and the Financial Market Department, Senior Advisor to the Executive Director for China at the IMF, and Chief Representative of PBC’s Office in America. Her fields of research include macroeconomics, monetary policy, financial reform, RMB Internationalization, interest rate and exchange rate policy.

ZHANG Xiaojing is a Professor of Economics and Director of Institute of Finance & Banking, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS); Director of National Institution for Finance & Development (NIFD); Member of Chinese Economists 50 Forum；Member of China Finance 40 Forum.

Prof. Zhang is also the recipient of prestigious awards such as SUN Yefang Financial Innovation Prize for 2015, and SUN Yefang Economics Prize for 2005 and 2007. He actively participated in the research and consultant work on China's 11th, 12th, 13th, and 14th Five-Year Plan. He is in charge of the Center for National Balance Sheet（CNBS）which is the only institution that releases the annual data for China's National assets and liabilities.

He was a Visiting Professor at Harvard and National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) in 2006-2007; and a Visiting Fellow at Stockholm School of Economics, from 1999-2000. His research interests are open economy macroeconomics, macro finance, and development economics.

Ms. Jerry Zhang is Executive Vice Chairman and CEO, Standard Chartered China, and China & Japan Cluster CEO, Standard Chartered Bank.

Prior to this role, Jerry has held a variety of senior roles at Standard Chartered China. She was the Bank's Deputy CEO, China and CEO, North China and General Manager, Beijing Branch. Her key focuses were strategic planning, business development and corporate governance of the Bank's operations in North China. As the General Manager of Beijing Branch, she was also responsible for overall management of Beijing Branch.

Jerry enjoys a strong track record in setting up good relationship with clients and creating value both for the bank and the clients. In her position as Head of Financial Institutions ("FI"), Jerry has led to achieve frog leap developments of the Bank's FI business, which has become the biggest FI business amongst all foreign banks in China in almost all aspects.

Jerry joined Standard Chartered in 1994, and has accumulated rich implementation and management experiences in wholesale banking business. She has successfully established non-banking financial institutions business in China for the Bank. In 2009, she has left the Bank for a short duration, and taken the role as Chief Representative of Fidelity International Asset Management Co. Beijing Representative Office.

Jerry received her M.B.A. from Lancaster University in the UK.

Mr. Zhang Xuguang is Executive Vice President of Agricultural Bank of China. He was appointed as an Executive Vice President of Agricultural Bank of China in December 2019. Mr. ZHANG worked for China National Aero-Technology Import & Export Corporation. In addition, Mr. ZHANG previously served as the executive vice president of Tianjin branch and the deputy general director of the Executive Office, and the president of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region branch of China Development Bank. Mr. ZHANG also served as the president of China Development Bank Capital CO., Ltd. and the investment director of China Development Bank. In December 2013, he was appointed as an executive vice president of China Development Bank. Mr. ZHANG Xuguang received a master's degree in law from Peking University and a master's degree in law from Minnesota State University in the United States, and is a senior economist.

Ms. Zhu Jun currently serves as the Chairman of Silk Road Fund. She joined the People's Bank of China in 1993 and worked at the Governor's Office before moving to the International Department in 1997. She became Director of the Research Division in 2006, Deputy Director-General of the International Department in 2009, and Director-General in 2015. From March to October 1999, Ms. Zhu worked at the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) as a secondee. In September 2003, she returned to the BIS and worked as an Economist until December 2005. Ms. Zhu received her bachelor's and master's degrees in Economics from Peking University.

Mr. Zhu is Former President and CEO, CICC. He worked at China International Capital Corporation (CICC) from 1998 to 2014, and served as its CEO from 2002 to 2014. Under his leadership, CICC registered remarkable achievements in business development and was honored with awards by globally-renowned publications such as Euromoney and Asiamoney.

While at CICC, Mr. Zhu led dozens of large IPO and M&A deals. He also promoted a research-oriented service model and developed a full-service business platform which involves research, investment banking, sales and trading, and asset management. In addition, he vigorously implemented the company's international development strategy, expanded overseas outreach and set up offices in New York, London and Singapore. Domestically, CICC added 16 branches in Chinese mainland.

Mr. Zhu received numerous awards in recognition of his achievements which included the Award for Asia's Top 25 Most Powerful Business Leaders (by the Fortune) and the Asian Banker Achievement Award for Investment Banking (by The Asian Banker).

Mr. Zhu holds a Master's degree in Accounting from DePaul University of Chicago, an MBA degree from the International Bankers' School of Credit Suisse First Boston, and a Ph.D. degree in Meteorology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
